Coach Frank DeAngelo has been with BLFC since early 2017. His unique structured approach in developing the core of every athlete has been his signature in coaching. Since coming here, the club has grown exponentially with players of all ages and levels. He takes pride in being a Veteran of the Armed Forces and brings that extra bit of discipline to our club, training sessions and coaching. He has played soccer both domestically and internationally for most of his life and is relentless when it comes to player pathway and development.
Aside from being our director, Coach Frank also takes part in direct training and coaching our BLFC teams. You will typically find him on the pitch with our all-age levels.

"Today's players lead a more structured life but they are also surrounded by more technical expertise. If I had then what kids have now, my playing career would have looked much different. I find this as motivation in working with my youth athletes and coaches. During my sessions I always find time to remind players what it takes to be better on the pitch and in real life. Coaches have a unique impact on a youth player. Unlike at school where a teacher may only have a student for a year, I have been blessed by having players stay with me for over 10. The average coach could be with a team or player for over 3. This is powerful and can never be taken lightly. I have evolved over the years, but I never stop learning and I never forget my responsibilities in guiding my players to success on and off the field."

"I take enormous pride in seeing the athletes I've coached and trained reach the next level. I have had a hand in developing over 40 academy youth athletes and 2 that have already turned pro. I follow their pathways and careers as if they were my own children. I often invite them back to speak with my younger players to provide them inspiration and guidance. I feel it's important to be a few years ahead of my oldest players in planning. This includes off the field issues such as education, behavior, community service and general support for the individual."
"It's important to understand a few things before committing to any travel club. Your child needs to love the sport you are considering. Travel soccer is about commitment, discipline, development and of course...FUN! As the Director of coaching for Bloomingdale, my job is to guide and build programs for athletes to excel on and off the field. In order to maximize the experience, take the time to speak with our coaches and take advantage of any offers to join a training session. You will usually know immediately what is right for your child."
